This is a nut and bolt restoration of a clean MkII Morris Cooper that was transformed into a MKII S. The work was done in the Pacific Northwest, and I purchased the car about two years ago. I came to find that the restoration was done longer ago that I was led to believe, and so the last year has been spent having a thorough mechanical refresh done on the car. The list is quite long, and includes:
Tires, new brake rotors and pads, resurfaced drums, conversion from cone suspension to coil springs, new starter, new coil, new distributor, added crankcase breather, replaced head gasket, new radiator, fuel pump, and fuel level sender. The engine is a new(when installed)1275 A+, which replaced the 998cc unit that the car had when new. All of the work was performed by Mini Obsession in West Chester, PA. In all, I have spent over $7200 to make this car into what I thought it was when I bought it: a fun little car that’s a blast to drive, and one that makes you smile whenever you drive it. It is now just that, and I am selling only because other needs beckon. A pre-purchase inspection at buyer’s expense is welcome and encouraged. The car is for sale locally, so I reserve the right to end the auction early. Shipping costs to be paid by the buyer. The car is being sold as is, and no warranty is written or implied.
