Austin mini Cooper S - Rebuilt on a 1971chassis
Just arrived in Virginia from the UK on December 28, 2018!
The previous owner purchased this car in 2008 as a project. It was rebuilt in 2011 and since has only been driven a dozen of times; traveling less than 200 miles since then and garaged when not in use.
The car was rebuilt on a 1971 Mark III shell and painted snowberry white inside and out. Drip rails and sub frames painted in black hammerite. Both the front and rear sub frames were overhauled as well as the ball joints. 10" Cooper S discs and calipers fitted with new Falcon 165 70 tires. New doors were fitted and were wax oiled with new front and rear door cards renewed.New Rubbers were fitted everywhere, new plugs, leads, points, condenser, wiring loom and rotor arm. New headliner installed and roof area was wax oiled as well. A Mk I interior was fitted with reclining semi bucket seats.
A 1275 engine was fitted with an inch and three quarter carb with a maniflow exhaust manifold and a 2" Cooper S exhaust!Hi-Lo suspension, with upgraded coil springs installed as well!!!!!!
Finally the exterior was painted in Snowberry White with a black roof plus Mini Cooper S badge.
Since driving the car from Baltimore to Leesburg, VA, the vehicle has gotten great interest.Unfortunately, we no longer have enough space to house her.:
