1973 Mini Classic Mini Description

This 1973 Morris Mini Deluxe 850 was originally sold in the north of Spain after assembly at the Leyland AUTHI plant in Pamplona, and was purchased by its previous owners in 2007 as a father-son project which included a full-color change, interior refreshment, powertrain work, and more. The car was stored under cover in a warehouse outside Toledo after completion in 2016, acquired by a dealer in 2017, and shipped from Valencia to Chicago.
It was purchased from a Mini dealer in Chicago last year, it is currently CA registered it has CA plates and title.
It brings pure joy while driving it and from everyone you pass on the street. Feel free to ask any questions and I'll answer as best I can.

EPA and DOT Paperwork
Originally blue, the body received a full color change to red during the refurbishment work. The bumpers and left-side door hinges were replaced along with side and hood trim. Steel wheels from a Spanish-built 1275GT were mounted with five Michelin tires. The original Spanish license plates remained on the car. Grey cloth seats from a later Mini replace the originals, and a steering wheel was sourced from a Spanish-built 1275GT. The carpets and dash pad were also replaced, but the original headliner was retained and it is showing its age. There is little bit of looseness in the shift linkage, but all the gears engage correctly and shifts smooth not grinds or popping out.
Power is provided by a 848ci inline-four paired with a 4-speed manual transmission. Mechanical components replaced during the refurbishment included the timing chain, sprockets, head gasket, valve cover gasket, fuel pump, radiator, distributor cap, ignition points, and motor mounts. A new clutch and CV joints were installed and the clutch master cylinder was rebuilt.
Last week I had spark plugs, spark plug wires replaced and oil change done. It runs great fun little weekend cruiser doesn’t need anything.
