NO reserved Auction1984 Austin/Rover Mini with 1275 cc with side draft Webber
I have owned this vehicle in Japan for more than 20 yearsand moved from Japan to USA. This vehicle was manufactured in 1984 and wasofficially imported by law as a vehicle over 25 years old in the UnitedStates. JapaneseVIN;99x-11950-AR Theodometer is now broken, so I don't know the actual mileage. I've done a lot of modification andmaintenance while I own it. The totalamount will be over$5,000. The suspension was changed from a rubber cone to aspring type with a height adjustment function for racing, and the shockabsorber was replaced with a type that can adjust the damping force. The frontbrake has been changed from a drum type brake to a desk brake. Brakingperformance has improved. The transmission is a straight cut gear developed forracing. The gear sound when running is slightly louder than the normal gear,but you can easily shift down even from high rpm. The engine displacement is 1275cc.Itis a very durable type A engine. (Steel head and block) The carburetor has beenchanged from the SU carburetor to the side draft type of Webber. The jet kitfor carburetor adjustment is also included. This engine comes with anaftermarket engine oil cooler. It comes with a full transistor ignition system,Auto meter, Moto-Lita steering wheel, Steering angle adjustment bracket andQuick shift linkage. Also The front two seats are equipped with cobra racingseats

There is some oil seep and oil leakage same as OldHarley. Occasionally, white smoke may appear for a few seconds when the engineis started for the first time when it is cold or when the engine has not beenstarted for a long time. Maybe it's time to replace the engine valve oilseal. However, I have never had anytroubles while driving. For repair and maintenance within 2 years, the partsreplaced are clutch replacement, clutch master cylinder and Slave cylinder,battery, electric fuel pump, cylinder head gasket, Racing exhaust manifold,muffler, etc.
There is little rust on the body but it is a good one forthis year model. Especially the driver and passenger side floor panels are ingood condition. There is floating rust on the lower panel of the left body.There is a temporary rust repair mark on the right side of the roof. There arecracks in some of the paint on the roof and engine hood . Please refer to thephotos. The wheels are equipped with 12-inch Watanabe aluminum wheels. Each wheel is equipped with a 10MM wheelspacer. A racing type fender flare is attached with rivets. There is a crack in the flare on the frontright. When you fill up with gasoline (4/4), it smells like gasoline. Headlights sometimes goes off (needs repair) Steering shimmy occurs (Tire balancecheck will be required, because wheel balancer weight comes off) The muffler iscurrently equipped with a custom muffler.
Registration of this year's vehicle is difficult due tostrict emission regulations for ARB in California. I have heard that other 49 states can beregistered. Please ask your DMV for details before bidding. Regarding vehicle the registration,please take responsibility at your own risk.I have the Export Certificate (Japanese title) of this vehicle and theJapanese registration card and import US customs paperwork on hand.
