Truly interested in buying this Mitsubishi Delica? I know buying a vehicle without the benefit of being there to inspect it can raise a lot of questions, and these questions are most efficiently answered 'live' on the telephone, just like dad used to do it! I tend to judge the seriousness of a potential buyer by if they reach out with a call (Serious) or send a text message or email (not quite so serious) and reply accordingly. I do not have a lot of time to answer questions about the vehicles for sale, so please reach out with a call. I have more details and photos on my website.
So, getting to this truck for sale here now -- Here are the details:
1992 Model Mitsubishi Delica 4x4 station wagon/ camper. This is the loaded 'Exceed' version with Crystal Lite roof treatment and power options/ rear heater and AC controls, as well as air conditioning. All works as it should, aircon blows cold. I would jump in this truck and drive cross country now in i, if I had reason to. It is very reliable, battery in excellent condition, and I have not found any trouble with anything mechanical.
While this car does look very nice, I would consider it a bit of a cosmetic project. It is also priced at about half of what you would be able to buy one for here in the USA that was not a cosmetic project... This is a perfect opportunity for those of you who have wanted one of these, but do not have the 10 or 12 thousand dollars to buy one. Something close to eight grand will take this home.
Interior very clean and tidy, with many different seating arrangements available... 3 rows of seating all facing forward, rear 2 rows are infinitely 'slideable' back and forth, and middle row seats will spin around to face the rears if you like. Both rear rows easily remove for a huge cargo space (Or make a bed/ camper in there? Would be bigger than a Westy/ Westfalia... and be 4x4 plus diesel!) Carpets clean. Headliner clean. Door locks all work. Gauges all work.
PROBLEMS with this truck : Mainl, there is some rust in the truck. There are two holes in the front floo, 2 totally isolated small holes. They do not leak, and are not getting bigger, and anyone who can weld even a little bit could fix them easily. There is evidence of a few rust bubbles in the exterior paint work. While paint looks very nice, if you were to scrutinize you would find spots with bubbling, again not many and not too bad, but I must be honest here. There are also several spots on the roof (not visible from the ground) where the previous owner had sanded bubbling spots and sprayed on primer and even taped over/ primered. These are probably the worst areas, but never seen from below, and a painter would be able to make short work of this... but I am not a painter and am not putting more money into this truck, I think it is best offered at a low price and letting the next person fix it up as she/ he wishes.
That being said, everything works as it should, except and those cool windows in the roof? There is a powered shade inside (run from what looks like a sunroof switch) that are not hooked up . The shades would close over the roof windows to give darkness inside the truck if it were night and you wanted to sleep in it... so the windows are always 'open' - and always very light inside. If I did not mention this, you would not know anything was amiss.. I have never seen a feature like this on any car before.
Tires are great, drives great. Stops great. You can haul, like, 9 people around in there in comfort.
Please take a look at the photos here and reach out with any questions, and I prefer the telephone for answering as I takes calls more seriously than messages. If you do send message be sure to include your number so I can reach back. Be sure to check my other auctions for more great unusual vehicles I have, too.
Please be aware this truck is for sale right no, and I reserve the right to end this auction at any time, even if van has bids and reserve is met. I would suggest calling me if you want to buy the truck and I can start a buy it now auction for you..912-414-8993 If you want to sit back and see where the auction goes before you get involved, you'll see the auction end days before it was scheduled to as a real buyer called me and purchased the vehicle.
If you have zero or negative feedback, contact me before bidding or I will cancel your bid. Sorr, but there are too many flakes here on ebay bidding on a car and then not following through, and there is no recourse for us sellers. Not a bueno situation, people!
I have a business putting Tdi turbo diesel engines in Land Rovers, and as such I have trucks transported all over the USA - I can get a great rate if you need to have the truck shipped to your home. But call to make an appointment if you can't come collect in person. Transport will be anywhere from $200 - $1150 anywhere in the lower 48 states to you.
We here in the USA never got these cool turbo - diesel trucks - I am sure they would have been very popular and outsold the gasoline versions we did get. Peppy on the road, cruises at 70MPH or better, and gets near to 25 MPG (or even better if you drive carefully) - Transmission shifts great. - Ready for a road trip? This would make a great truck to do it in.
These do not pop up for sale often, and the ones I have seen have sold for a lot of money. Get a great deal on this one and enjoy for many years to come. Don't wait and lose out, bid now, and if you have any questions be sure to reach out to me for fast answers.
$250 due at end of auction, balance due within 5 days by bank transfer, check, cash in hand/ etc, no exceptions unless we have discussed other options.
