1948 Nash Ambassador
1948 Nash Ambassador Description
1948 Nash Ambassador, fully original, with "suicide doors"!! This was my great-grandfather's car and unfortunately, I've run out of space to store it. I haven't driven it for about 5 years and it was running fine when I put it away. I'll do my best to describe it and feel free to request specific pictures and I'll do my best to get them to you in a timely manner. I'm sure there's alot I don't know about the car, but here's what I do know!
It is a 6V positive ground with the starter on the floor. It is a 3-speed on the column. It has "conditioned air" and a rear backup/reverse light and my father told me these were not common (but like me, he wasn't a Nash expert either!). It does a have "crusing gear" pull lever as well.
Interior: The seats/benches are in really good shape with very few cracks/issues. The cloth on the ceiling is original......and while it's intact, I'd grade it about a 1 on a scale of 1-10. The radio does have a plastic piece missing and the clock doesn't work. :) The battery sits underneath the passenger seat.
Exterior: The exterior is in good shape -- I'd say a 8+. The bumpers retain alot of their chrome and there is very little rust.
It's hard to let it go, but it's time to do so. My hope is that someone with buy it, restore what needs to be restored, and take care of it!
$3500 to start, no reserve! I am willing to help load it on a trailer for transport but if you win the auction, you will need to arrange for pick up, etc. Please ask questions before bidding and check my feedback.
