EXTERIOR:: This is a unique, totally original example which truly in TIME WARP condition. Car is accident and rust free. It must have garaged since new.
All body panels in straight, rust free condition. Undercarriage comparable.
Chrome, bumpers, grill and trim show no wear. Glass all around blemish free with none of the usual milkiness on the edges of the side glass as well as the windshield. No appearance of water leaks .Proper wide white wall bias ply tires (era Correct) show less than average wear. Wheel discs in superior no mark original condition.
Trunk in excellent original, no wear rust free condition.
This 1951 Statesman needs nothing but a new home.
EXTERIOR in CONDITION #2 across the board. . .
INTERIOR: Features original medium grey mohair bench seats. Only wear is on the upper corner of the driver's seat back. Door panels and headliner totally clean and wear free./ Original carpets show less than average wear. Metal dash and trim around the windows in superior close to new condition. Original Nash Steering wheel clean. Radio makes noise, however, I did not get any stations .
Heater operative. I got under the dash. All wiring is original with inordinate wear or repairs evident. All lights AOK.

MECHANICS: Motor started immediately. There was no tappet noise. The 3speed standard transmission with Overdrive smooth thru the gears. Brakes stop properly at speed. Exhaust system leak free.Cooling system leak free. Suspension original and solid, confirmed by the low mileage. Electrical system properly operative. .
RIDE CHARACTERISTICS: That of a "New" 1951 Nash. Not the best ride in the world, but certainly is the best of this breed.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: : Basically original and in above average, better than driver condition. MECHANICS in CONDITION # 2.
MARKET VALUE: Antique Nash automobiles are now rare and desirable to collectors of the marque. These cars are still fun to drive, plus they make a statement of an era when distinctive styl, coupled with straight forward mechanics was the credo of the small car manufacturers trying to compete with the then "Big Three" manufacturers. . This 1951 Nash now 63 years old is totally original, as well as minimally driven which adds dramatically to the market value.. . This is reflected in my appraisal.

Oska: My personal aside. Yes, he's asking on the high side, however, the damn Nash is truly a jewel which has not been mutilated or basterdised in any way.
I'd drive it anywhere. Of the 250 + cars I value every year, this is the most original, as new example I've had the pleasure to value. in a long time. The ball is now in your court.
