1947 Nash Luxury Brougham Coupe Description

More to the story than just pictures.
Imagine getting behind the wheel of your car, that's a little older than anyone else on the road and daydreaming about the old days of automobile development since its beginning. While cruising you realize the history of transportation was being lost and seemingly, many auto makers and the beautiful creations of engineering were disappearing. Why not turn your daydreaming into reality and create a collection of vehicles and house them in one place where future generations could see history, receive pleasure, enjoyment and possibly future engineers would be inspired at seeing cars, motorcycles, etc., of years gone by.
This is exactly what Harold Le May dreamed and created by developing the largest privately owned automobile collection of over 3,000 vehicles, as certifying him by the Guinness Book of World Records "The largest privately owned automobile collection in the world." This s shown at Marymount in Spanaway, Awa. and the America's Car Museum, in Tacoma, WA.. The two museums complement each other and tell the wonderful story of America's love affair with the automobile
This car, 1947 Luxury Brougham 600 Ambassador Coupe was Harold Lemma's driver. He drove this car while building his collection until the engine needed repair then he put it his collection as No. 1900.

Harold didn't sell any of his collection. After his passing, at 81, the estate auctioned this car in 2011, without an engine. It went to Strange Automotive, a very quality builder of transmissions and engines, for an all new power train, electrical system, brakes, tires, carpet and more.As you can see this car should go to a true auto enthusiast to maintain this piece of autorama history.
