Beautiful and unique, this car is near-impossible to find and a real head turner. You will not be able to stop without questions from everyone.
Less than 4,300 manufactured in this year model with the number possibly being closer to 2,900. This body design ran only from 1952-1954.
Equipped with the auto industries' first single-unit heating and air
conditioning system, The Weather-Eye (introduced in 1954) with a design that is still used today in modern cars.
"Airflyte Construction" with a unified body allowed for lighter, safer construction and outstanding fuel economy.
Historical documentation states a average mpg of 27 mpg with use of the optional overdrive that is on this vehicle!
Famously equipped with the Airliner reclining front seats that make into twin beds. Advertised for use with camping families and salesmen, but undoubtedly popular with then-young adults (we've met some retirees with great stories)!
Continental kit with full-sized spare.
Runs good, shifts smoothly, breaks good.
