1989 Nissan Sentra Description

A 1989 Classic Nissan SentraMake OfferI am the second owner retired. I just had the radiator and water pump replaced last month due to overheating. I now know its was the original thermostat that was not replaced which caused steam to emit from the exhaust last month.
Water mixed with oil. said my 10yrmechanic
Engine needs to be replaced or fixed. Have all the receipts for current replacements prior to engine thermostat failure. Everything feels and works fine except engine.Vehicle is not running.last2 - 4 mos. spent $600 in parts alone.
In the five running years as a second owner with two year investment replacement or repairs, I have replace everything that was aged, except the AC. I had not found the long AC high pressure hose. Custom AC hose cost about $150. Parts are still cheap. I should have change the thermostat long time ago aways. The transmission is very solid. The suspension system very solid. New wheels (new Kumho 13" rare) Brakes, Bushes, mounts, shocks, battery, alternator, starter etc. The vehicle was AC repair ready and design by the state to fix AC under work contract. Because of the states now breached contract, I'm now forced to to sell my final investment. Vehicle is free and clear. In retirement I always kept a shine on the classic beauty.
This 1989 was the first of its series of sentras introduced to America. It was first called the "SUNNY". We didn't like the name so Nissan changed the name to Sentra. Look for the original 1988-89 TV commercial on youtube with Nissan Sentra, boosting 57 miles to the gallon which captured our market during those years. I was averaging 34-40 mpg. The car is so light I think I could push maybe 50 mpg. And this little puppy is/was fast in all its ORIGINALITY.
Showing less then 60k on odometer is has been worth fixing. It sure to be a very rare classic and continue to capture eyes and milage. This classic is expected to jump up in value soon. You can't find one in this good of shape. The rear paper speakers are awesome with new sonys in the front. Not original, a pep boy purchase 15 watt pre amp with aux, USB and disk slot with a profession wired install was made 2 years ago. Sounds and rides great. My loss, your gain. A california car for sure. I now have a new car.
