Nissan Safari Grand Road PATROL 4.2 Diesel, auto, 4 door, high top, 4x4, 70k mil
1991 Nissan Patrol Description
1991 JDM Nissan Safari Grand road, known worldwide as the Patrol. The arch nemesis of the Toyota Land Cruiser, member of the bulletproof all star cast that includes the Land Rover Defender, Mercedes Benz G-wagon, and arguably the Unimog. I bought this Patrol soon after it was imported into the USA under the 25year old exemption rule. It has every single option from the factory save for two, winch and sunroof. It has a factory sway bar disconnect from inside the truck, the bigger of the two diesel engines which is the 4.2 liter. It starts unbelievably quickly and runs beautifully. There are no leaks or noises. It gets an unbelievable 30mpg combination city and hwy driving. It seats 9 people when the back row is set up as a troop carrier. That same set up is also a bed with a small sink allowing it to become a perfect weekender setup. I just ordered a double din audio/video set up withrearview camer, dvd movie watching, bluetoot, etc. It has a 24v system and I just replaced both batteries. The interior has pieces that need attention like the door cards with stitching coming apart, drivers window occasionally works, clock comes on and off. The AC and Heat works flawlessly. The automatic transmission shifts and operates as it should with a 'power ' button that changes shift points and also forces it to start in first gear from the otherwise smooth second gear starts.
