1988 Nissan Other Pickups Description
Up for auction is this '88 Nissan pickup truck. I am listing it for a friend, so if you have any questions, please send a message and I will get an answer asap. I can also take photos of anything specific, just ask. The truck is located in Tallahassee, Florida and the owner has a clear Florida title in his name.
As far as '88 Nissan trucks go, most of them are beat up, used up, rusted away and have been rotting in someone's back yard for a few years. But, not this one! It has already traveled over 300,000 miles (Honestly, I don't know if the odometer is accurate, but this is not a low mileage truck), and there is still a lot of life left in it. The seller is hoping that the new owner will use this truck as much as he has over the years.
Externally, the truck has a few dents, dings, and paint chips. It was originally blue, though a few years back it was given a pretty decent grey paint job. The body work wasn't "show car quality", but let's be realistic.. For an '88 Nissan four wheel drive truck, it looks damn good. The paint has held up great and is still as shiny as it was the day it was sprayed. There aren't any rust issues that I am aware of.As nice as the exterior body is, what impresses me most is the inside of the bed. Have you ever seen a nearly-3-decades old pickup bed that looked this nice? I'll let the photos do the talking...The worst body panel on the entire truck is the tailgate. As you can see, it suffered some damage prior to it being repainted long ago.A little damage to the front edge of the hood. The interior is a long ways from being pristine. There's a crack or two in the dash pad from the Florida sun, and the left side arm rest is worn through.. But come on.. 300,000 miles and almost 30 years of use.. It could be worse. The tires are a few years old, but they have some miles left in them. The wheels are factory Nissan alloys and they look great.Mechanically, the truck runs, drives, stops, and is functional. The A/C blows but has lost its charge and is no longer cold. But more importantly, the 4 wheel drive DOES work. If you're looking to go out into the woods, and get sweaty while you're doing it, then this is absolutely the truck for you.The engine is Nissan's Z24 2.4 liter four cylinder, backed up with a 5 speed manual transmission. The truck starts and runs great, though the owner tells me that it's been losing coolant out of the radiator. His solution has been to simply fill it up when needed, as the engine still runs excellent otherwise. No, he doesn't know what the issue is. The transmission and transfer case shift just fine. The truck is being sold as is, where is, with no warranty whatsoever. It's the buyer's full responsibility to arrange pick up or shipping. The truck is stored in a friend's secure auto repair shop, and can stay there for up to 2 weeks after the auction ends. After that, the truck can continue to be stored there at the cost of $100 per month. Payment is due in FULL within 3 days of the auction ending, and can be sent by certified check, or cash in hand. Other payment methods, please ask before bidding. The owner has a clear title in his name that, along with a bill of sale. will be signed over when the payment clears. Any questions whatsoever.. Please don't hesitate to ask. We're real easy to work with. Thanks for looking!
