I have a 1987 Nissan 200sx with the SE trim, V6 engine and 5 speed manual for sale. I really like this car, but too many projects going and I need to move some along. Here’s a run down of the goods and bads:
- the entire car is completely original and unmodified -- 187k mi
- runs and drives well
- brakes work great and have plenty of life left in them; they have been recently bled
- clutch has lots of life left
- transmission shifts very well
- all of the electronics and lights (both inside and out) work--only the drivers side window switches have been replaced with standard toggle switches, but they work great
- there are no leaks--no water leaks in the cabin, no oil leaks from the engine, and no coolant leaks or anything
- the differential has a little play in it, and will likely need to be shimmed or something (not my area of specialty)
- the exhaust has a leak somewhere
- the body is really quite nice--the original red paint is old, and a little thin, but bright red and just needs someone to keep it nice and it will stay looking great for a long time
- no rust or rot anywhere
- the interior is all original, and the only parts of it that need any help are the door cards--the seats and still awesome and everything. I think the carpet in the trunk is falling apart a little, but all of the rest of the carpet and upholstery shows surprisingly little sign of wear
- tires all have plenty of life left
- overall, almost nothing is perfect, and almost everything is in decent, or good, condition
Thanks for looking, and have a great day.
