1990 Nissan 300ZX Description

This car has only 800 miles on the odometer!
Carfax has no record of this car--I looked.
Never before registered.
This Nissan 300 ZX had been donated to the University of California Long Beach by Torrance Nissan and The Nissan Corporation of America after it had been used to shoot a commercial for the 1990 Superbowl (look it up on the internet!).
The car has been in storage at the university for the last 25 years.
This is the very car used in the 1990 Super Bowl commercial; "The Dream", directed by Ridley Scott. The commercial features a silver 1990 Nissan 300ZX TT. The car is chased by motorcycles, a race-car and finally a jet before jumping over the camera. Apparently the vinyl nose was damaged in the jump and the nose was replaced (but not painted).
The ZX was originally black and repainted silver for the commercial (all the other vehicles in the commercial are black). And you can see all the windows--including the windshield--were blacked out. There was even a piece of black cardboard RTV'd over the radio space. Though the car has a turbo spoiler and many stickers stating "twin turbo", its actually naturally aspirated. According to the VIN number, this car is #000034 (out of 164,170, probably the first day of production) and I don't think Nissan had made any 300TT's yet when they shot the commercial.
In some respects, this car seems almost new--the interior has that new car smell. But the ZX was stored outside for a number of years and the silver paint is pretty faded with some areas on the rear hatch poorly "touched up". There was some residue--paint? grinding dust?--from its days in the University's auto shop on much of the exterior but I've cleaned most of that off. I replaced the clutch master and slave cylinder and all of the brake fluid. I replaced the fuel tank, sending units and fuel pump assembly and the car runs fine--the fuel tank was nearly full but after 25 years the gas had gone bad and the tank and fuel pump/sending unit were rusty and caked with gasoline deposits. I replaced the timing belt, thermostat, water pump and coolant.
The Nissan passed California smog with no issues. The tires have small age cracks--being 26 years old--and I wouldn't trust them. Underneath--aside from some scrapes on the front chassis--the paint is shiny and clean. I replaced the missing splash shield and fender well liners with new items from Z1 Motor Sports.
This car has now been registered for the first time as of 7/11/2016. I also located a spare and air canister!
The ZX runs like a new car, tracks and stops beautifully. I removed all of the dark window tint--there were three layers--but left the decals for the next owner. new Kenwood KDC-BT365U CD player.

I've been informed by "fivedalla" that what I thought were camera holders are actually Nissan headlight alignment tools.

I have many more photos in case anyone is interested.
