1972 Oldsmobile Cutlass 455 Rocket Convertible Description
This car was just removed from a garage in California, it has been sealed for 30 years, since 1986! this car has not moved from the garage, they actually built a wall, no door! I have the California pink slip from 1986, there may be fee's due @ DMV in California if going back there. This is a factory Big Block, AC, power top, p/s, p/b, pw, pl and Dual exhaust Southern California Car with zero rust anywhere. power top works excellent and engine spins with plenty of compression. It had a homeish looking paint job done @ time of it's incarceration but protected it very nicely and would make a great base for a show quality paint job with very minimal effort, there is one small spot on rear quarter with bondo over dent other than that appears to be bondo free!!! the interior needs to be redone but is not terrible foam and vinyl are still good a few small blemishes, it needs a new top. I am going to go over it, before running the engine! gas and brakes mainly, fluids all looked perfect but brake pedal is soft and I want to drive it. it has the same tires for 30+ years and not even cracked, the Dash is perfect! not a crack in it and the windshield still looks new, she does need carpet and missing a rear panel inside and front bumper is missing!! so no front bumper also radio and front kick panel are not included because they did not come with it, door handles and most hardware are accounted for but it is missing odds and ends, year one has it all I am sure! with very little effort and money this can easily be 35/40K car with no problem.
doing my do diligence on this and This is #'s matching 396021 block with Ga heads that were for W-30 and manual 442's so this got some options, a pretty special ride right here! optioned almost to the max cruise control and tilt wheel are the only thing she ain't got! I am happy to say this is a #'s matching engine with Ga heads very rare indeed # matching transmission also. This would make for a very correct looking W-30 442 with metal red inner fender wells and and a scooped hood this would easily fetch well into high $40's even low $50's with correct resto and you will save a small fortune on body and paint, the best garage find I've seen personally.
928 530 2276 Dan any questions......I believe!
