1971 Oldsmobile 442 Description

Selling my wife's beautiful 442. 2yrs spent on the drivetrain and engine compartment with well over $15,000 in parts receipts. The following was completed in 2012 (6k miles ago) Matching # engine was bored 30 over w/torque plate and rebuilt with 9.5:1 forged pistons, Total seal rings, W30 spec cam, reground nodular crank, Mondello lifters and .040 oil restricted one piece push rods (keeps oil where it belongs at high rpm), Milidon oil pump and windage tray, reconditioned rods, Comp cams double roller chain/gears, all Federal Mogul bearings, ARP hardware, all magnafluxed and balanced. Olds "C" cylinder heads w/the larger int/exh valves. Larger guides installed w/stainless valves, 3 angle cut seats, Comp cams rod guides, springs and retainers. Scorpion aluminum adjustable roller rockers. T400 Automatic Trans w/2600 stall, B&M shift kit, adj modulator and governor. Deep aluminum finned fluid pan. New bushings/gaskets and seals. New slip yoke and U-joints. 10 bolt rear w/8.5" Detroit Tru-Trac limited slip differential, 3.23 gears, all new diff and wheel bearings/seals. All original front suspension and brakes reconditioned/rebuilt. Unilite distributor, Livewire custom ign. wires, Summit multi spark CDI box w/rev limiter and Ignition coil both mounted under dash. NGK plugs. Ceramic headers w/Flow master exhaust and trumpet tips. Rebuilt or replaced the power steering, alternator, wiper motor, A/C compressor, receiver/drier, fuel pump, Holley 750 carb, Aluminum larger radiator, coolant/heater/steering hoses, belts, heater core/valve and all 4 tires. Reproduction fully functional ram air hood and intake assembly installed. Besides new body mounts and door hinge pins no real body/paint work was done in the 10yrs we've owned it. The paint is 27yrs old and in good driver condition. Does have some flaws and is not show condition. Car has no rust. Power top operates properly with new pump. Black vinyl top has glass rear window but does have a 3-4" cut on both sides. Interior is also nice driver quality but does have some flaws. Both front seat bottoms are split and dry cracked, the dash also has a crack. The driver's seat belt retractor plastic cover is missing. The air conditioning was ice cold until I leaned on a hose and cracked the flange where the o-ring sits. The freon now leaks out pretty fast. I'm in the process of trying to find a replacement hose. Everything else operates correctly. Some options include Rally Pac gauges w/Tic-Toc-Tach. Hurst "His&Hers" shifter, Rally steering wheel, and I installed a Bluetooth audio unit w/remote in the glove box. It does not have power windows or power door locks. It has the original GM keys for doors and trunk. Also includes Car cover and many extras. Clean SC Title. Runs and Drives excellent, Our family has taken this car on many long trips in the past few years with no issues. We'll be very sad to see it go.
