This car has lived all its life in Kansas but was first sold in Amarillo, TX where its original owner, a former WWII pilot, was retiring from the USAF. The original State of Texas Inspection Sticker from October 1969 is still affixed to the windshield.
This Cutlass S is equipped with the standard 350 Rocket V8. The original stickers are still on the air cleaner and radiator support. The V8 is matched to the Hydramatic of the day and has power steering and brakes. An AM radio, body side moldings, wheel well moldings, door edge guards, factory air and (5) Rallye wheels complement this beautiful coupe. The ashtray is factory clean. Everything works.
In addition to regular maintenance items the car has the following items replaced. Master cylinder was replaced a couple years ago and afterward the original was rebuilt and comes with the car. A 442 grille was installed several years back because it was preferred by the owner. The original Cutlass grille, still in excellent shape, is boxed and comes with the car. The radio speaker was replaced and a new battery was installed earlier in 2016.The car has original gold carpet with aftermarket brown carpet mats but the original rubber mats with OLDSMOBILE inscribed are included.
In 2015 a new set of Cooper Cobra RWL radials were installed, the A/C was converted and recharged with modern refrigerant and the rear wheel cylinders were replaced. The exhaust system was recently replaced. The car was always garaged and is basically rust-free. It starts, runs and drives like new.
