1978 Oldsmobile Eighty-Eight Description

Very Rare 78 Olds Delta 88 with a 403 cubic inch engine that has a great story... Hope you don't mind the long read but I want you to see the full picture...
I am not a car dealer or flipper. I bought the car because it's just like the one my dad purchased new in 1978. It's the car I learned to drive on.I have passionately gone through the entire car and spared no detail. It's ready to be a daily driver, a trip car or justnostalgiccruiser.I am moving and can't take the car with meso it's now available for a new home.
This 78 verifiably has only 46,700 original miles on it (in addition to the title history, the old guy certified mechanic documented that the original factory shocks were still on it when I recently had them changed). It was garaged and hadn't been registered/plated since 1994 until I brought it back into drivability in early 2015. It was aCalifornia car owned by a seniorcitizen. The body and interior are immaculate. The seats are very soft and preserved. It's like they were made yesterday. The dash has no cracks and everything looks as fresh as it did in 1978.
After sittingfor so long in a garage, it was drivable but the gaskets and seals and bearings were all old and dried as you could imagine. I had always been told that sitting is rougher on a car than driving it. So I went completely nuts spendingthousandsand thousands of dollars (I have all receipts). Rather than having fear of a mechanical failure, I decided to go all the way... I replaced the 403 enginewith a new one from S&J Engines (check out S&J, they are famous for their dust free factory and warranties etc). The engine has a 100,000 mile parts and labor warranty! Ron and his certified team at Maitland Tire, in Maitland Florida did all the work and would be happy to chat about the car if you want to call them. Just mention the blond guy with the 78 olds and everybody will know who you are talking about. All the struts/shocks were replaced as I mentioned along with other drive train parts & tires. The radiator, hoses, belts and A/C components were replaced as well. Cold AC! Nothing was spared. everything you can imagine was replaced including starter, radiator, carb you name it... I have ALL the receipts.
The car is solid, the best one you will find. Since I've have had it, I drove it locally around Orlando, then to St. Augustine once and to Daytona once for the Turkey Rod run car show. GREAT road car. Buyer is responsible for pick up and or shipping. My name is Mike and I will be happy to provide more pics or anything you need! Thanks
