1967 Olds 98 convertible project with a good running 425 engine
This one has a tilt and telescopic steering wheel and a factory 8 track tape player.
.
This car was found in a barn where it had been since 1990. We cleaned it up a little.
The engine runs great. The fuel system was disconnected so there is no old gas running through it. The engine was run from a gravity fed fuel source. See the video.
The car was driven around the yard. It goes forward, backwards, and stops. The exhaust needs to be fixed.
The electric top works as it should. See the video. The cover will need replacement, this one is shot.
The carpet was removed and the floors inspected. The floors are all as solid as a rock. See the pictures.
The body is mostly solid. The rear quarters have lower rust between the wheel openings and the bumper. There is also some rust on the inside upper lip of the trunk lid. See the pictures.
The front right fender has some damage on the front corner, and the extension needs replacing. See the pictures.
The front seat needs some upholstery work, the rear seat and door panels were cleaned up and look OK.
This will be a nice project for someone. Maybe a father and son.
