1969 Oldsmobile 442 Description

For sale is a 1969 Oldsmobile 442 convertible. It has a fresh 455 engine which is mated to a Muncie M20 4-speed. The engine runs great and the transmission shifts smoothly. The color is burgundy mist withwhite stripes, black vinyl interior and a white top.

The car was treated to a complete restoration 3 years ago and has traveled 15k miles since. The paint shines well and has good depth as shown in the pictures. The stripes were applied with the correct templates. The underside of the car and all body panels were stripped to bare metal prior to being primed and painted.

The car received all new front and rear suspension components which included bearings, control arm bushings, steering box, tie-rod ends, and ball joints.

The interior is very nice with a brand new dash pad that was refurbished by Just Dashes and is in perfect condition. All gauge lenses were replaced and the dash was stripped and painted. All seats feature brand new foam and vinyl upholstery.

The power windows and convertible top work well, as the top received brand new hydraulic cylinders. The car was originally an AC car and was converted over to non-AC. The blower motor only operates on high speed and the speedometer does not work. Everything else works as it should.

This is a car that is very well sorted and can be driven anywhere. The 455 engine runs smoothly with good power and can be driven long distances with confidence.

This car is 1 of 4,295 Oldsmobile 442 convertibles (excluding W cars) produced for the 1969 model year.
