1980 Oldsmobile Olds Cutlass Calais 442 W30 W-30 1 of 886 Rare Hurst 1978 1979
1980 Oldsmobile Cutlass 442 W30 Description
This is your chance to own an extremely rare 1 of 886 built 1980 Cutlass 442 W30 with build sheet and documentation. This being white is one of only 346 produced. These don’t come up for sale very often so better act now! This thing is ready to be your daily driver or restoration project! This is the last year for this generation of 442s and the only year they came with the 5.7l 350! It was not sold in California so there is no emissions equipment what so ever. This is a great running and driving car. I purchased it a few months ago in Kansas where it had been sitting since 2005. Things I’ve done to the car to get it back on the road are as follows, cleaned fuel system, oil change, installed new fuel hoses and fuel pump, rebuilt the carburetor, replaced all vacuum lines, installed a new water pump, new radiator hoses, new clutch fan, new alternator, new belts, new spark plugs, new plug wires, new brake hoses, new calipers, new brake pads, new headlights, restored the factory wheels and installed brand new tires. This car has the matching numbers 350 with a w30 grind cam and dual exhaust that runs and sounds great! Transmission is a turbo 350 that shifts perfect and gets second gear scratch on a regular basis. Now that the drivetrain has been addressed I will move onto the body of the car! Still wearing what appears to be the factory paint this car is extremely solid with the only exterior rust I have found being behind the drivers rear tire under the lower trim not even visible without looking hard. The deck lid is the worst part of the car with the inner bracing being rusty. Even though it is extremely solid this car does have HAIL DAMAGE! It is all across the top of the body panels nothing on the sides. That being said I have replacement front fenders left and right, replacement hood and replacement deck lid which will also fix the rust and replacement front and back glass trim all included with the car. The top of the car can be PDR fixed. It is hard to tell in pictures but trust me it is there. The notorious frame rails are perfect. The interior of the car is in good condition considering how long it’s sat in the sun with the door panels being the worst part as you can see pictured. The seats are almost perfect with exception of the passenger front seat having a couple rips. Headliner was sagging so I pulled it down and left the board still intact ready to be replaced. Dash does have the typical cracks. Gauges on the dash with exception of the working speedometer and tach are intermittent and work when they want too I haven’t had a chance to look at them yet but I’m guessing it is a loose ground. Heater works great but the A/c is missing the motor brackets and compressor. It is equipped with factory Cruise control all of which is still hooked up but the engine mounted vacuum pod is missing. I’ve tried to describe everything the best I can and not hide a single issue or problem that I am aware of. That being said I’ve put 100 miles on it since being on the road and it runs and drives great and could easily be a daily driver of a person wanted. Guaranteed to be the only one at your local car show! Show it as is or restore it I’ll leave that up to you! This is being sold as is with no warranty expressed or implied. Buyer is responsible for arranging shipment or pick up of the car. A $500 deposit is due within 24hrs after the end of auction with the remaining balance due in full within 72hrs. If you have any questions Please Please ask before you bid. If you are bidding and have less than 10 positive feedback please contact me prior to your bid or it may be canceled!
