I am listing this for my dad. He is selling some of his cars and I am helping him list them.
He's had it a long time, and I have been around it just as long, so I am sorry, but the story won't be short.
It is loaded with FACTORY installed options which the build sheet substantiates.

Dad bought this in January of 1983 from Bud Wolf Chevrolet in Indianapolis Indiana. Bud's son Andy worked there and took it on trade from his sisterin law who bought it new in California which is where it lived until she traded if for a Chrevrolet Caprice in 1983. She bought it new out there and that is why it was born with the California emissions. Plus nobodyhas dismantled that and thrown it away. When was last time yousaw a car like this where they did not throw the emmissions equipmentaway? Dad saw it listed in Hemmings and we went up, purchased it, and brought it home. I can still remember the day we brought it home. It had 74,183 miles on it in 1983. It has about 80,000 on it now. You are right. He did not drive it very much.
It is and has always been a rust free car. I mean never any rust ever. No rust. No wrecks, damage or excuses.
It is a very original car in that somebody hasn't gotten a hold of it yet and tossed all the original parts and put it on silly wheels and "updated" it. I hate that word: update.
The only thing that has really been changed is the color. Dad could not stand the original Ivory color anymore. He had a really nice 1967 Oldsmobile correct Spanish Red Basecoat/Clearcoat PPG paint job in 2002 that has held up verywell because he never drove it. At that time, he also ordered new front bucket seat covers and carpet from Fusick Automotive and sent the bumpers to Advance Plating in Tennessee. The bumpers are a work of art. They are perfect. That is about all that has been done to the car over the years except the standard maintenance items such as brakes and tires and fluid changes.
I want to make something very clear about this car. This is getting to be one of the last ones that has not been totally disassembled and had all the original parts thrown away.
We are talking about a car that still has the original convertible top on it. And it is okay other than the pads inside are starting to split a little. The outside is perfect. It goes up and down like it should. Should it be replaced? I wouldn't. They are only factory installed once and it is a good reference for other owners who are installing their 4th or fifth top on their cars.
The engine and transmission has never been removed or overhauled. Both drip a little but not bad. Would I take it out and overhaul them? No. Never. The engine runs perfect. Ithas ALWAYS started and run perfect. The transmission still shifts perfect just like Oldsmobile wanted it to in 1967. From what I understand these 67's had their own torque converter. The way this one acts, I am sure it is the correct one.These cars rode nice and performed great. Why would you want to update it. There's that word again: Update.
Like I keep saying. It is a very original car that somebody has not gotten a hold of yet and destroyed. It runs like a top. It is a pleasure to own and drive.
Since this is an auction, please don't ask what the reserve is. Just bid what you can afford and let the auction take it natural course. As far as terms, we are fairly flexible. We appreciate things like cash and cashier checks from banks we can look up and call to verify. It's a good car. Solid with no rust and very well preserved.
