1972 Oldsmobile Cutlass Description

THIS LISTING IS FOR A 1972 PRO TOURING CUTLASS. I ACQUIRED THE CAR A COUPLE YEARS AGO WITH MOST OF THE MECHANICS DONE INCLUDING THE LS1 SWAP, RIDE TECH SUSPENSION AND BAER BRAKES INSTALLED. THE INTERIOR AND EXTERIOR WERE IN AVERAGE CONDITION. SINCE THEN I HAVE FINISHED THE CAR TO ITS CURRENT STATE. THE INTERIOR AND PAINT AND BODY HAVE ALL BEEN DONE IN THE LAST 18 MONTHS. FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO UNDERSTAND WHAT KIND OF TIME AND MONEY GOES INTO BUILDING A CAR LIKE THIS YOU WILL UNDERSTAND WHAT A VALUE THE PRICE IS.

ENGINE- THE ENGINE IS AN LS1 FROM A CAMARO THE PREVIOUS OWNER SPENT ALOT ON MODIFICATIONS. IT WAS UPGRADED WITH A GM HOT CAM PATRIOT HEADS, FAST INTAKE, FAST THROTTLE BODY AND HEADERS ALL RUNNING THROUGH 2.5" EXHAUST ALL THE WAY OUT THE BACK. THE CAR MAKES GOOD POWER. I DO NOT HAVE A DYNO SHEET BUT WOULD CONSERVATIVELY ESTIMATE IT TO BE 400-450 BASED ON THE MODIFICATIONS AS WELL AS THE WAY IT RUNS.

TRANSMISSION AND REAR END- THE TRANSMISSION IS A TREMEC T56 SIX SPEED COUPLED TO A 12 BOLT OLDS REAR END WHICH HAS BEEN COMPLETELY GONE THROUGH AS WELL WITH NEW POSI CARRIER AND 3.73 GEARS.

INTERIOR- THIS IS MOSTLY NEW WITH TMI PRO TOURING FOAM IN THE FACTORY A BODY BUCKETS BOTH FRONT AND REAR ARE ALL NEW INCLUDING HEADLINER AND CARPET. IT ALSO HAS A NEW WINDSHIELD AND BACK WINDOW AS WELL. THE SIDE GLASS WAS NOT REPLACED

BODY AND PAINT- THE CAR HAS BEEN TREATED TO A NEW BASE COAT CLEAR COAT PAINT JOB AND COLOR SANDED AND BUFFED TO A WELL ABOVE AVERAGE FINISH THE PICTURES DO NOT DO IT JUSTICE. THE VINYL TOP IS ALL NEW AND CORRECT AS WELL AS PROFFESSIONALY INSTALLED.

TRIM- THE BUMPERS FRONT AND REAR ARE BOTH NEW ALONG WITH ALL THE EMBLEMS BEING REPLACED MOST OF THE EXISTING TRIM HAS BEEN POLISHED AS WELL. THE TAIL LIGHT LENSES AND GRILLES ARE NEW AS WELL

THE CAR PERFORMS WELL AND CAN CRUISE 80MPH WHILE BARELY TURNING 2000 RPMS.

WHEELS AND TIRES - FRONT 18X8 ON 225/45-18 TIRES THE REARS ARE 18X10 ON 274/45-18 TIRES

YOU WILL BE HARD PRESSED TO FIND A CAR WITH THE COMPONENTS OR FINSH OF THIS CAR FOR THE PRICE. THE COMPONENTS ALONE TOTAL WELL OVER $25,000 BEFORE THE COST OF THE CAR OR LABOR INVOLVED IN BUILDING A CAR LIKE THIS. THINK YOUR GOING TO RESTORE ONE FOR LESS THINK AGAIN IT WOULD COST DOUBLE TO HAVE SOMEONE BUILD THIS FOR YOU.
