This 1971 Oldsmobile started out as a Cutlass Supreme convertible. The car was fully rebuilt to exemplify the W30 with the gleaming Matador Red paint and W30 decals. The 455 engine was rebuilt with a mild cam and equipped with the Rochester 4 bbl. carb. The transmission has been changed to the 700r allowing the overdrive gear to work with the 3.73 gears in the rear end and provide an excellent combination for cruising down the highway and still perform like the muscle car it is.
The recent work done to the car includes a replacement frame power coated black. The steering and suspension components were disassembled, cleaned, serviced and detail painted. All front and rear bushings were replaced along with ball joints, front shocks, backing plates and the front and rear coil springs. Engine and transmission were removed, and gaskets and seals replaced. The list of new and detailed parts is extensive. Custom driveshaft, rear air shocks, W30 Diff cover, dual exhaust with factory tips to name a few.
