Not perfect:
-paint job is about 30 years old, holding up great, but some minor scratches, nicks, small rust areas, lightly scuffed in a couple locations. Body is solid.
-some minor dents, hard to spot, paint unaffected
-brake light occasionally sticks on (Installed an indicator light under dash, quick tap of pedal always fixes it, booster rebuild kit included)
-accelerator pump performance could be improved (Never is a problem with a sensible driver, but can momentarily hesitate if you really hammer the gas.)
-clock is right twice a day
-steering wheel plastic has cosmetic cracks (still secure, doesn’t affect driveability)
-one small front and rear windshield chip
-chrome has pitting and a few scratches
-rust on front passenger floor inside, but underside looks good, probed and is solid except for two tiny holes
-bit of a rubbery ride (Like it was in 1956)
-will leave a drop of oil after running
-coolant overflow reservoir is missing cap
-rear-view mirror has minor cracks in silvering
-speedo light dimmer switch has a dead spot, but can easily be positioned to work fine
-white walls are now off-white walls
-tail light lenses are crazed (a better condition replacement set is included)
-second set of wheels in mediocre shape: rust on rims, dented covers
-if the car hasn’t run for more than half a week, it can take a bit of turning over to start, but it always fires up
-rusty exhaust manifolds (not surprising for 63 years old) No sign of holes, cracks, or leaks.
-intake manifold has surface rust
-minuscule rad leak, top up coolant once a season(leak at top, can be brazed without removing rad)
-trunk liner is weathered, trunk cardboard damaged in places
-rear window cranks slip when winding up (but windows hold just fine, and can be closed with a helping hand on the glass)
-faint squeak somewhere in the accessory belt path (generator and power steering pump checked ok)
