1971 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme Description

Body off frame restored, extremely rare factory 4-speed! Vin #s match motor and trans. Beautiful factory colors. Has the glovebox pouch with protect-o-plate, owner manual, warranty booklet with original owner's info and the dealer that sold it. Has the temp tag issued when new too.
EXTERIOR: Beautiful factory code 26 viking blue car. Body has been professionally restored, it is arrow straight from every angle. The metal flake is laid out nice and the clear coat finish is polished like a mirror. The car is glossy, looks like you could dive right in. No bubbles or blisters anywhere, gaps are real nice. All the trim is exceptionally bright. Upfront the bumper is rechromed and it fits the fenders really well (hard to find on an Olds because the fender is contoured to the bumper). Original grills have been detailed, headlight bezels look new. The wheel well moldings and the side moldings look new. Rear bumper also fits perfectly and is rechromed. Stainless trim on the trunk lid lip is new. Taillight and reverse light lenses look new. It has original rally wheels that have been repainted. The white letter BFG tires look new. All the glass is real clear and fits excellent. Windshield is new. The window seals and weather strips have been replaced. Door jambs painted beautifully. The convertible top has been completely down to the painted frame. Has crisp white top, new glass rear window. New weatherstrips. There is 1 rock chip touched up on the front of the hood.
INTERIOR: The interior is meticulously restored. All new correct upholstery. Seat feels good too, not worn out. Has fold down armrest. The door panels, armrests headrests are all excellent and all the same shade of blue. The dash area is excellent. Has the rally gauge cluster and the Tic Toc Tachometer. Dash pad, chrome bezel around the instruments, vents, heater controls, wood grain all looks mint. Features a factory 8-track player hanging below the dash and a sport steering wheel. The radio and 8-track work. Interior lights all work original, GM seat belts are in excellent condition. Has new carpet. In the glove compartment it has it's original glove box pouch with manuals, warranty booklet with the original owner's name and dealer and protect-o-plate. We even have the original cardboard temporary license plate issued to the car when brand new.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: Detailed to factory condition. Has it's VIN number matched Rocket 350 with a 4-barrel. Actually the carb and distributor are # matching too. Neatly painted Oldsmobile gold. Has stock manifolds, valve covers, air cleaner with all the proper tubes, hoses and decal. All the components look excellent- brackets, new alternator, sending unit, proper fan shroud, rubber flaps on each side of the radiator, washers are hooked up. All the metal is clean with smooth satin black finish. Has insulation under the hood. Jambs are painted real slick blue. Has power steering and power brakes.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: The button in the glovebox pops the power trunk release. Inside you will find a detailed and complete trunk compartment. Bottom of the trunk lid and the jamb is painted and clear coated gloss blue. Has new weather strip. Trunk light works. The spare rim is a matching blue rally wheel with a polyglass tire for a spare. Has complete jack assembly including the lug wrench. The metal is clean and sprayed in the spatter finish. Has a correct Oldsmobile mat.
UNDERSIDE: I researched and just learned that Olds went down the line as automatics. When a 4-speed came up, the hole in the floor was torched out right on the assembly line. I checked and this one was torched. The codes and dates match up for a 1971 Olds M-20 Muncie. Then better yet I found the matching vin # stamped on the other side of the trans. The is a factory 4-speed Olds! Body off frame restored, the bottom of this car is detailed. Has Rally suspension which includes sway bars and boxed control arms. The front and rear suspension is completely rebuilt- new ball joints, bushings, springs, shocks etc. All detailed in correct finishes. Bottom of the motor is spotless, new starter. Trans and shift linkage looks spotless. New exhaust system, still has labels on it. New fuel tank, straps, sending unit and lines. Brakes were redone, disc in front. New e-brake cables and lines. Clean floors.
This car is a winner. The more time we spend with it the better we like it. From top to bottom it's like new. Fits, feels and functions great. Very fresh, even the bottom is still immaculate!
