1971 Oldsmobile Eighty-Eight Description

Up for your consideration is my 1971 Oldsmobile Eighty-Eight Royale Convertible. I have had the car a couple of years and not put many miles on it. It sits on a lift in my climate controlled garage. I have run out of space, so its time to let someone else have a shot at this magnificent car.
I actually bought this car on a whim while on my home, driving from San Diego to ATL, in a car I had just purchased on Ebay .... I saw this car advertised and realized I had to have it. What a body style!! What power!! What presence!!! Its a pretty rare car to start with, only 2800 make in 1971. What makes this car so special in my book is the amount of optional equipment on her .... Its LOADED!!! Here are just a few of the items it (as copied from the previous owners hand written notes which came with the car) ...:

The condition is above what you might expect from a carefullystored 50 year old car .... The interior is bone stock and original, with only the slightest wear on the seat bottom of the driver seat. The carpet, headliner, upholstery, dash and all switchgear look amazing!!! the AC and heat work as designed. All power windows work, as do the locks and everything else, with the exception of the cruise control as noted above ... I cant think of anything I would change about the interior, its solid and original ....
The exterior is super straight. It has been repainted at some time in the past, but its very presentable and shines well. The chrome is good with some minor pitting in the usual places. The glass, including the rear window, all look amazing and clear. Teh rubber gaskets are in good shape and the car is whisper quiet going down the road with the top up!!! The Super Stock wheels have been refurbished at some point, and they look like new. The tires have 90% rubber on them, The convertible top is a solid 8 out of 10 and I wouldn'tdo anything to it.
Mechanically, this car is AMAZING. It fires right up, and drives PERFECTLY!!! I never knew a 50 year old car could drive like this. Its FAST, quiet and responsive. It floats down the road, ZERO shakes or shimmys, no funny noises. Starts, steers and stops exactly as designed. As good as new, actually ....
I have tons of perfect feedback on very expensive items, please review it!!! Bid to win!!! This car has an extremely reasonable reserve and is priced to sell. I have a clean and clear ACTUAL MILES title in hand. I also have a 3 ring binder full of TSBs, Olds guild stuff, the full line 1971 brochure, availableoptions, the shop manual, parts guide, and the handwritten note from the original owner showing the options on the car he ordered. I am NOT an Oldsmobile expert, please verify this yourself. I only included the RPO codes that I could actually see and verify with my own eyes .... I HAVE TONS MORE PIX ... I just went out and double checked the odometer reading for another interested party ... the miles are 58777 ... I put 56000 in the ad .... please make note of this before you bid .... feel free to cancel your bid, if you bid before this notice posted on Monday Aug 17, 2020 @ 3:51 PM EDT .... reserve is not met, so it should be a moot point ....
