1977 Oldsmobile 442 "Cutlass S" 2 door Coupe-needs repairs
1977 Oldsmobile Cutlass Description
You are bidding on a 1977 442, Cutlass S 2 door coupe, slant back window style. It is a 350 Rocket engine, 4 barrel carb, but has a knock in the lower end. We have invested way more than asking price, but selling due to lack of funds. The intake was replaced 3 years ago with brand new Eldelbrock, also pushrods and lifters. We also replaced fuel pump, alternator and installed electronic distributor. All brake cylinders were replaced also. The duel exhaust is about 5 years old. I have tried to take descriptive photos, but will be happy to answer any questions to the best of my ability, or for more photos. The paint is original colors, but it has faded and is peeling is spots, you can tell someone taped up the 442 on the passenger side and resprayed some time ago. The quarter panels have rust all the way through at the bottom behind the tires. Passenger side has had attempt to patch, but not done properly. Trunk pan is good, with the exception of the wells behind the tires. Rubber weatherstrip has been removed from trunk also.Rear bumper has crack at the top and needs repair. Doors are solid, with good glass. Windshield is not cracked but has discoloration around the edge from age. Front grille is missing one fin on passenger side. Hood is also missing center chrome piece. Paint on the hood has discoloration from weather and age. Chrome wheels are old school American Racing 17", one center cap missing, tires are not in very good shape, will hold air to load car. Mileage shown is correct to the best of my knowledge, could have rolled over, no way for me to know, as I am about third owner. This was our daily driver with hopes of restoring, until now. We changed wheels and tires out to sell. I just don't want to see it sit and go down any further. Would make a good restoration project, and all parts needed are still available through O.P.G.I, or Year One.There are very few of these still out there, hope someone can give it a good home. Because of the age and condition vehicle is sold AS IS WHERE IS. We are located about 60 miles south of Memphis. Located in a shop lot, with easy access to load for trailer or hauler.
