Here's a cool classic that Linda Vaughn, 'Miss Hurst Golden Shifter' with her little white dress and...curvy...go-go boots would approve of. A true Hurst Cutlass in nice condition is a rare find these days. This car is one of 1,293 Hurst cars finished in Cameo White, and was sold in April of '75 by Behler Oldsmobile of Cincinnati Ohio. The buyer traded in a '72 Cutlass to help offset the final cost of the new Hurst Cutlass, which came in at $6,204.47. Since it was a W25 Cutlass originally, you could expect that had it been a W30 it would've cost significantly more.
This Hurst Olds is finished in its original Cameo White (Code 11) with a number of exterior extras. A 442 hood, bumper rub strip, fender and rocker panel moldings, styled rear view mirrors, 'Salon' grille, and super stock wheels wrapped in white letter tires. Other exterior highlights are T-Tops, Hurst badging and gold stripes, and half vinyl top.
The interior of the car is a blast from the past! White interior with saddle dashboard and carpeting features two sided seat center cushions, a swivel driver's seat, wood veneer trim, tilt 4-spoke steering wheel, power windows, factory air conditioning (not currently operational), and AM/FM Radio. Mounted on the console is the Hurst Dual Gate or ("His/Hers shifter"), and optional Hurst electronic Tachometer.
This car originally rolled off the line of the Lansing Michigan with the W25 package which had a 350ci V8 under the hood. It currently has a 455ci V8 under the hood which is what the more expensive W30 Hurst Cutlass cars had. The engine bay is tidy and the 455 is painted in gold and features a chrome air cleaner cover sitting atop a Holley 4 BBL carburetor, and chrome Melodon valve covers. A look under the car shows that it is solid and dual DynoMax mufflers have been added.
This Cutlass is a cool classic and a part of Oldsmobile and Hurst History. The car was actually brought to and driven on the Indianapolis Speedway in July of '99 at the Hurst/Oldsmobile Club of America's 15th National Meet. With an upgraded engine, classy interior, Hurst options, and limited production, this is an Oldsmobile to consider for any car collector.
