1968 Oldsmobile Cutlass Description

Reposting for sale my 1968 Oldsmobile Cutlass Vista Cruiser "One of a Kind" Wagon ! This was posted a few weeks ago and received some very nice bids but was just short of my reserve. So I'm reposting it again today with a lower reserve so all previousbiddersare welcomed to bid againto possiblymake this so cool One of a Kind Vista Cruiser YOURS !
So this is what has been done. I have replaced everything in the suspension Front and Rear using all factory replacement parts. I have had the factory 12 bolt rear rebuilt with a 3:42 Gear and a posi unit and added a W-27 cover rebuilt by aprofessional. The Transmission is a M-22 Rock Crusher 4 speed and is NEW and also Professionallybuilt. The engine is the factory matching number 400 ci. with 69,000 on the clock and could be correct as it runs very strong. I didn't rebuild it but I did however replace wear parts like Water Pump / Master Cyl. / Power Booster / Belts / Hoses / Clutch Fan Etc.
I installed the factory 442 ExhaustManifolds along with a full alum. coated dual exhaust system and existing through a One of a Kind factory looking cut-out rear bumper with 442 "Trumpets" ! It was also professionallycreated using the lip from a damaged 442 bumper. It just needs to be chromed to make it perfect.
The Interior has also beencompletelyreplacedusing the factory light Blue color vinyl and was done in a 442 pattern with no perforatedinsert. The bucket Frames / Springs & Foams are NEW ! All new floor carpet and cargo area carpet was added with the chrome rub bars on the tailgate. The side cargo panels had large speakers in them so I had the holes welded up and had the panels padded and covered in matching Blue sheet vinyl also professionally done.I installed Red/White door courtesy lights from a 68 Cadillac in place of the factory reflectors. They are the same size & shape and if you didn't know I did this you would never know ! They look great !
All brakes Rotors / Calipers / Pads / Drums / Cylinders / Shoes are NEW ! All Shocks / Springs / Control Arms / Sway Bars are New and only have around 200 miles since installation.I installed a Rare 1968 (one year only) Tilt Floor ShiftColumn and topped it of with a 3 Spoke Rallye Steering Wheel. Also installed is a Half a Rallye Pack (Gauge) and a factory Tach is mounted to the floor console. The tires are NEW performance radialsand are mounted on NEW SS-I chrome factory 15" wheels. I also had a factory looking RED LINE applied to the outside wall and it looks like a factory tire. There are extra parts that are included with the car for winner to install.
All roof Vista windows are perfect and have no rust and all trim is also perfect. The body has it's share of Parking lot door dings. Left rear door has the most. There are worn to the primer areas and the only rust area is a 15" long x 4" wide area at the center bottom of the tailgate. The rest of the tailgate is nice.
So that's about it. As you can see that a lot of time / thought / and MONEY has gone into the building of what was to be my "KEEPER" show Vista !! I can't drive it without great pain as my left Foot and Knee are not happy with pushing the clutch (old injury's) and note The clutch is a factory Butter clutch not hard at all. I have 2 surgery'sa head of me and I need funds to pay for my end afterinsurance. So if you like what you see, bid with confidence as you will have the coolest ONE of a KIND 4 SPEED VISTA WAGON !!!
