1956 Oldsmobile Eighty-Eight chrome Description

I bought this back in Spring time as a Project....What I have done since, and what I think it should have to be a good solid Daily Driver.
-Brand New, professionally rebuilt Rochester 4. Akron Automotive Electric did the work, they also tested the generator and it works fine.- Brand New! Rebuilt Stock Glass Bowl Fuel Pump. Had one of those crappy 16.00 electric ones when I bought it. Stock works the best!- New Gas Tank, previous Owner put that on- wet sanded the car and Polished it so I could put the Trim back on.-Brand New! Coker White Walls- New plugs and plug leads.....Im sure there is more...-all the glass is in tact, the drivers side has a crack at the bottom and needs adjusted//replaced. I also Have all four hubcaps, I took pictures showing wheels with HubCaps on one side and one without.
-Car starts right up but does need a good tune up or op end Job.I bought a 4 door 1956 Oldsmobile as a parts car for this, I have ALL the Parts from the car. I have an Extra motor and trans, and it cranks over beautifully. I have starring column, starter, drums, rear axle and driveshaft, hardware, ALL EMBLEMS AND SOME I HAVE DOUBLES. Trim, I have all the Trim, the correct seats, Extra Bumper, extra Hood, extra fenders, inner and out, extra fuel pump. ALL parts are included. Prefer local pick up on this...I was gonna use the extra parts in a MODEL A build.
WHAT CAR NEEDS...
- I would go through front end. Tie rod/bushings/U-joints.- rockers need repaired. Previous owner tried to do a Half Ass'd repair on the drivers side rear rocker. if it were me Id have it done right and just put new ones in, the rest of the car is too clean to not do it right. I would redue them on both sides. The body itself is very solid and the undercarriage as well. It was originally a New Mexico/Colorado Car. So the rust on it is actually minimal.Trunk is VERY SOLID! Floors have surface rust but appear to be in good shape...if you need to see additional pictures you can message me and I will Gladly text you any and all photos you'd want.
I would restore the original seats and do the inside nice myself but its also be great for a rat rod interior to...
Be a fun car with a muncie 4 in it and a tr power intake, and aggressive cam. I just don't have the time, and money to throw at it right now and I am passing it on and i want to be as up front as possible for the last person wasn't and I had to go back and do a lot. But it moves, it starts, it stops! GAs Gauge does work, all lights seem to work, brakes need looked at because they work but the lights don't come when you hit the pedal, bad bulbs maybe? I haven't gotten around to changing the belts yet i wanted to do that as well...if i can think of anything else I will ad it or answer any and all questions. Thanks for Looking!
Buyer is Responsible for shipping or pickup, I have all the extra parts in boxes, its all condensed real nice, i have a cherry picker to load the extra motor, Id take all the parts, I already did the real BxxCh work of finding a parts car and gutting it. so minus the cosmetic work, and a good tune up, why not. I have my eyes on another project so Im moving this one along. Feel free to make an offer, keep in mind, it is going to be hard to find a car 64 years old that has as minimal rust as this one.
$500.00 auction close, the rest can be transferred after you arrange your shipping info...email me with any questions and if need be we can exchange contact info to proceed forward. Thanks again so much for checking out my OLDSMOBILE. Take Care
