Classic American Muscle Car
1972 Oldsmobile Cutlass Description
My age seems to have caught up with my love affair for this car. I bought this car some 15 years ago but never gave me any of the usualheadaches related to maintaining an old car. I only had a professional tuned up the car and replaced the brake pads and I have been using this car as a daily driver ever since. All these years, I have slowly replaced certain items like the front seat upholstery, carpet, air cleaner housing & air filter, fuel filter, brake booster & master cylinder, converted the single exhaust to a dual exhaust and the vinyl top.I noticed that the roof has started some bubbling even though it was professionally sanded, primered and painted. The interior of the car is in very good condition. The back seat upholstery is original and has no rips. The headliner is in perfect condition and so does all the door panels. The dash board has no rip and I installed a dash mat to protect it. I know of no hole on the floor except a small one in the trunk. The body needs some attention, as rusted holes started to appear at the bottom corners of both doors although the actual door bottoms are solid. Rust also made its way in the wheelhouse and the bottom of the quarter panels. One of the tail lights need a lamp holder. The bumpers have some dings but are solid and can be restored. There is a leak on top of the windshield and cracks at corners which has no problem with safety inspection. There is a small dent at the front fender near the headlight. The front grilles are in perfect conditions. Clear coat has started to peel off on both sides of the car. Even at its present condition, this car is a head turner with its rumbling sound and aggressive stance complimented by the outlaw rims and 15" fat Mickey Thompson tires at the rear. This car sold for $4850.00 a few months ago on the same auction but the buyer failed to complete purchase because of loss of employment. Please bid with complete confidence from a seller who has been collecting and restoring these kind of cars. I will require a deposit of $500.00 upon winning within 24 hours on Paypal and the completion of the purchase either with Paypal or cash. I have described the condition of the car to the best of my memory and ability. Bear in mind it is a 48 year old car. Please use the photos to supplement the condition of the car.
