1972 Oldsmobile Cutlass All Pwr Opts Description

Purchased in Des Moines Iowa in 2002 by the most recent previous owner and transported to South Bend Indiana. There the car sat for 2 years before the restoration was started. It's equipped with the original 350 V8 Engine and automatic transmission. Power steering, power disc brakes, tilt and power top (with black boot). Interior features include: Power windows, power seat, Factory Air-conditioning (Blows Cold), AM-FM Cassette (Kenwood) seat belts, power locks, drivers side mirror adjuster and power trunk release. In the fall of 2004 it was totally disassembled and all painted surfaces were chemically stripped. Motor, trans and rear end were taken to respective rebuild shops to be completely overhauled. Motor was bored to a 355, 9.5/1 pistons and a mild cam were installed. Only high quality components were used, lifters, push rods, connecting rods, bearings etc. Frame was sand blasted and coated with POR.All new front end components, they were purchased from the DANA automotive plant in Mishawaka IN. Bushing, springs, shocks, all new brakes, lines etc. A driver floor pan welded in was the only metal needing fully replaced.Under body was also cleaned and prepped and then coated with POR.Body Tub was placed back on chassis and primed body panels were placed on car for final fit before paint. The car was then disassembled and painted with original GM color. Base coat clear coat, DuPont Chroma base. Radiator, starter, alt, belts and exhaust is all new at reassemble. 2.5 years later the car was completed and then a year later a new top was installed. After the restoration the motor had a knock in it from the initial rebuild, the previous owner stated he could never get it to go away. In 2014 he removed the motor and took it to a different shop. They rebuilt it and re-honed cylinder walls, new pistons and complete bearing kit installed. It has been running perfect ever since. Car never saw rain or a water hose in the 14 years he was the care taker for the car.

Miles showing 23,283 but only has 4500 aprox. since recent motor work.
