1918 Stutz Terraplane 1930 Speedster Hudson Hot Rod Barn Garage Find NO RESERVE
1918 Other Makes Description
You are looking at a true Hot Rod built in the mid 1930's for a Philarestaurateur. The car is titled as a 1918 Stutz, and was modified in the early 1930's to a Speedster configuration, with the Bearcat in mind, basing the Stutz name off of the original Stutz grille. The engine is a 1933 Hudson Power Dome Terraplane 6 cyl engine and the trans is from a mid 1930'sHudsonnon synchro transmission and has Dodge full hydraulic brakes.Has aPierce Arrow taillight.Gaugesare 1930's Hudson. The body and interior are made of wood. In my opinion the paint appears to be original paint on most of the car, except the fire wall. In my opinion most of the wires look to be from the 1930's. There is a original 1954 inspection sticker on windshield, see picture. There is a hidden tool box under the car, see picture. The sign on back of the car can beeasilyremoved. What I saw that is newer to the car is a electronic fuel pump, battery cut off switch, battery cables, some wiring, radiatorhoses, horn, horn button, and seat belts. I do have receipts for the car showing back in 2009 it had brake and clutch work. The side handemergencybrake works. The vintage oil pressure, battery, and amps gauges where working when I shot the video for this auction.I found this car sitting in a private estate of custom and vintage motorcycles. I shot a video of the car running but I am going to list it as a non running project, since I have not fully inspected or tested the car for the open road. There is a Florida title, that matches the cars VIN plate in my name. If you google 1918 Stutz hot rod you will find other information on the car.I have provided 4 slideshows with many pictures, and one video of the car running, so I am going to let them do the talking for me. But please ask all questions before bidding because I am happy to answer them. You must use a regular computer or laptop to see the slideshows and video. They will not show up with apps, phones, or some tablets. If you can't see the video or slideshows please contact me and I will send you a link.
