1929 Other Makes Description

Here's one you don't see everyday, a 1929 Hupmobile. Hupmobile was an automobile built from 1909 through 1940 by the Hupp Motor Car Company in Detroit Michigan. This particular Hupmobile is the 4 door Deluxe Century Sedan model that has been tastefully street rodded into the ultimate touring sedan. The build began with an excellent body with all of it's original wood still in place and in excellent condition and doesn't appear to have had any rust issues throughout the body of the car, very solid. The chassis received a new independent front suspension with rack and pinion steering, disc brakes and adjustable coil overs. The rear is a 4 link set up with coil overs. The drive train consist of a smooth running chevy 350 V8 topped with aluminum heads and intake, Edelbrock carb, HEI distributor, headers, and a serpentine belt drive pulley system. The transmission is a turbo 400 automatic with a 9" Ford rear axle with 3.50 gears. The interior has been finished in two tone gray and blue with bucket seats up front, tilt steering column, Vintage air conditioning, and Dolphin gauges. The silver and dark blue (almost black) paint looks good with a deep shine and really shows off a straight body. The chrome has some pitting, mostly on the bumpers, and all glass and weather stripping look great. Wheels are 18" Boss with polished lip. Car runs and drives great on the road with a nice comfortable ride and everyone will be asking "What kind of car is that?!"
