1947 Other Makes G80 Description

after a lot of thinking I've made the very tough decision to sell my beautiful 1947 diamond t 306. the main reason why I've decided to do so is I just cant give it the attention it deserves. i was hoping to use it 2-3 times a week but at best i'm using it 2-3 times a month and I cant run it like I would a newer truck. so I've decided to give ebay one chance and one chance only to sell, if no sale after that it would just be local classifieds. and I'm in no hurry to get rid of it so i'm not gonna just give it away.So anyways about the truck. its a 1947 diamond t 306. its a recent barn find with super low miles. its currently at 10,300 miles and I've put over 300 miles on it in the last year going to town and back and a few shows. and used it a couple weeks ago to haul a bunch of old bushes from my yard to the dump. its a very original truck with the rear 4 tires still being the original 70 year old tires! it has excellent patina and super solid! I cant find in rot anywhere in the body. also the body is super straight with the only damage I see is a dent on the drivers fender and one on the passenger rear cab corner. the trim that's missing in some of the pictures is included and is in the cab. the clips were breaking and I didn't wanna lose the trim while driving. I bought new clips but they were the wrong size. I am the 3rd owner I believe. the guy I got it from got it 20 years ago and he had the fuel tank rebuilt as well as the carburetor. he installed a nos fan hub and converted it to a electric fuel pump but that went bad from sitting and I put a bigger new one in its place. and for whatever reason he took off the original oil filter canister. it really should have one reinstalled. but that's all he did and then it sat until I bought it. I had the brakes completely rebuilt, such as the wheel cylinders and master cylinder. still uses original brake shoes and lines. both the brake and hand brake work nicely. still 6v system, though I couldn't find a 6v battery so I put an 8 volt in and had the voltage regulator and generator adjusted accordingly. the horn and heater works. pretty much all the controls and gauges work. about the only things that don't work is the fuel gauge, the wipers, the cab lights as well as the dash lights. the headlights tail light and marker lights all work as does the old aftermarket turn signal set up. the engine starts easily every time and purrs like a fine sewing machine. the non syncro trans shifts nicely as well. this is a short wheel base model so my plans was that If I ever found a good diamond t pickup box I would install it! as the swb 306 did have that as an option. that alone would triple the value of the truck. currently has a wooden flat bed that the original owner would of made. they also added an extra 2 feet to the frame but that would be easy to cut back off. so all in all this is one of the best Diamond t trucks one could buy in terms of originality with no rot, low mileage, and is drivable as is. I just put fresh oil in it today. it could use new tires and probably new rad and heater hoses. the one other thing I see it will need is the radiator drained and then flushed. I put new coolant in last year but I just checked it and its getting pretty dirty looking. I have few more pictureshere
so anyways I have a clear title in my name.(oh and just an fyi the signs on the truck don't go with it) international buyers are welcome. I require $500 that day and the rest within 72 hours unless you pay the rest with cash, then I will give you a week. I think I mentioned everything I can think of but if you have any questions feel free to ask and I will try and answer to the best of my ability. and with that happy bidding!
