1967 Siata Spring
Approximately three thousand of these unique cars were made by SIATA, in Torino, Italy. Siata acquired the drivetrain and chassis from Fiat and essentially re-bodied the Fiat 850. The drivetrain is an 843 cc Fiat four cylinder engine, coupled with their reliable four-speed gearbox.
I acquired this fine example in a three-way trade and now you have the opportunity to own a very rare little piece of Italian automotive history.
The car is rust-free, starts easily and drives excellently. Everything on the car is operational. I had a new speedometer cable installed, sorted out some minor wiring for the set of four warning lights and had the clutch linkage reinforced for smoother operation, although it operated fine before. The car sports Borrani wire wheels and a full-size spare.
The attached photos really tell the story of this remarkable survivor.
I acquired the car for a reasonable amount and I can therefore sell the car for less than any Siata Spring I have ever seen, and this car needs nothing. I would say the car is 92 to 95 points. Clear California title.
A convertible top is available from Robbins, of California. If I were to keep the car, I would have an auto upholstery shop create a tonneau cover for the little car.
