Engine after overhaul. Grinding of the block and head, new pistons with rings (+0.02 inches), ground crankshaft (+0.03 inches), all liners replaced. Naturally, all new gaskets, etc. All the spare parts came straight from England from the factory. The volume 3.5 significantly expands the engine life, because At full capacity it is used extremely rarely (it's really a pity for me to use a car in races and starts, and I do not have a need to do this...).
From yourself - you won't regulate any injectors as much as 2 carburettors. From the pros - you can add power if you want. From the minuses - you need to synchronize 2 carburettors between each other and increased fuel consumption in the "high-speed" modes.
Naturally, with a great desire, you can stick a turbine and get about 400 hp. at the output, but I do not need it, and the original look is more important.
In occasion of the run - it is difficult to determine it, because every 100 000 km it is reset. The engine run after the FULL capital is about 2000 km.
Suspension:
The chassis of the car is equipped with an independent front suspension and anti-roll bar.
The car's smoothness is exceptional. Not for nothing that the suspension for several years was calculated on computers.
The whole suspension is new. Those 4 new shock absorbers, 2 new springs and a full set of rubber bands and gaskets. Everything was ordered at the factory.
Some elements are restored from the polyurethane, which gives even a greater resource.
Salon
The interior of the car Rover SD1 is more than spacious and well equipped. Instead of the time-honored trim of the interior with wood and leather, in this model the main emphasis was placed on the use of velor and high-quality plastic.

Exhaust system

For my part, I believe that everything I could do to restore the car I did. Of course, you can finish trivialities infinitely, and sitting in the car, I know that I would like to "bring to mind." But this business is almost infinite. I very much hope that he will go on in good hands.
Concerning the cost and payback of the project - personally, after 17 000 $ of investments I considered it to be a particularly late one (so as not to injure the psyche). It is clear that the investments will never pay off, but spitefully I have restored my "childhood dream" to spite many "commentators". And the confirmation of this is that the car passed a rigorous selection of international commissions for Retro-Minsk 2016-2017. And this, believe me, is not so easy.
Well and yes - as a bonus - you almost always will look back on the road. The car really attracts attention.
