: Offered for sale is a freshly rebuilt 1962 Devin D, this is a real Devin (not a kit or re-skinned VW) that was actually build by Bill Devin of Devin Cars. It is running it's original Devin tube frame/body, both of which are in very good condition. The vehicle was almost completely disassembled before being resprayed in Porsche's classic color Silver Metallic. The car was used for vintage racing before its last owner got a hold of it and started his own restoration. The engine is a 1700cc lifted from a 1968 Porsche 912 that was completely rebuilt before it went in the car. The engine is mated to a 1967 Type One swing axle Volkswagen transmission that was rebuilt by Bugformance. During assembly the car got a new clutch kit, clutch disc, flywheel, pressure plate, release bearing, shift shaft seal, CV boot kit, 12 volt voltage regulator, speedo cable, starter, oil pressure sending unit, and fuel filter. The gauges and badges are oem from Devin and extremely rare/valuable all on their own. This car is absolutely superb to drive, it feels incredibly light and balanced in the corners and the acceleration is fantastic for something with this much horsepower. |
