1994 Other Makes Description

You are reviewing a Home-Made (Not a Kit) a 1994 Toyota Pickup (Not a T100 or Tacoma) that has legally been converted to an Electric Vehicle by the state of Virginia.*** Please read through these notes before you ask about the drive distances (As I do not know)The original concept of this was to build an Electrical Vehicle, which had real-time, on board charging. (Similar to re-gen breaking, but at a more advanced level.) The motor has an extended shaft . The rear drives the vehicle, and the front drives a serpentine belt that is connected to two wind-turbine motors, one is for the 48 volt bank and the other is for the 12volt system. The idea behind this, one bank would be moving the vehicle, while the backup bank would be charging via the on board generator. There is an on-board contactor (Giant Relay) that switches based on voltage drop. This is being "SOLD-AS-IS" and needs to be tweaked to run/charge by design. It is beyond my knowledge level at the current state.
There are things that could be changed very easily to make this move to further distances and higher power without a lot of knowledge.
The motor controller can be adjusted for torch, speed and distance via a PC (Alltrax). I have played around with the settings. It is drive-able and would need to be put on a flatbed for transportation.
I could go on and one about this. You are welcome to come by and take a look at it and I will spend as much time with you as needed. Please let me know if you have questions.
1)This was a gas power truck that I have converted to 100% electrical with a 48v/500amp DC motor (Old Fork Lift motor). Exhaust/Fuel and AC systems have been removed.2)Original 4 speed manual transmission is fully functional with new clutch plate.3)Gas Tank door has been converted to a retractable electrical cord (NEMA15) to charge the battery banks.4)2 Battery Banks (4 each-48v Drive) and the 12v vehicle accessory battery are deep cycle with on-board charging (I will explain this below).5)All displays and functional of the 12 volt system have been converted to electrical/digital displays.6)Odometer/Speedometer has been converted to a GPS digital unit.7)48v Electric Heat (No AC)8)Wipers/Lights/etc work was they did when it was factory.9)No PB or PS10)Brake Booster Diaphragm is controlled by a 12 volt vacuum pump11)Misc STuffa.New Tires with less than 10 miles.b.Had a VA State Inspection, but it has expiredc.Clean VA State Title, in hand.d.Small rust spot behind wheel wells next to mud flapse.Clean interior (New Carpet)f.Double DIN Head unit for motor control displayg. The reverse lights don’t work as of today, but I will most likely fix in the next few weeks.12)Design/Diagram/Manualsa.I have a design/diagram for both the 48v drive and the 12v control wiring, relays and functionality. I will not post this, this is for the new owner or you may look at them in person.
