I am the second owner of this Henry J. I bought it from the builder two years ago. Made my own fixes and improvementsin my shop. It is great fun. The car will be at the NSRA Street Rod Nationals in Louisvill, Ky the first weekend in August. Unless it sells here. There is a lot of old school, nearly bullet proof, nitty gritty hot rod here. Its not for the meek ! Featured on the cover of Summit Racing Equipment magazine July - August 2006. Also a 3 page centerfold in the magazine. My copygoes with the car. The rundown from the builder: Chevrolet .30 over454 Mark IV big block. Aluminum heads. Balanced and polished steel crank androds. TRW pistons the builder stated they are 13:1. I have not disassembled it, but I believe him the wayit pops at idle. Competition Camsmechanical camshaft.310/316 duration.663/654 lift. Comp Cams lifters, valve springs, and retainers. Manley valves, Crane rocker arms. 1050 Holley Strip Denominator rejetted. MSD distributor,box,coil and wire. Summit 1 wire alternator. Hedman weld together hedder kit. 3 inch steel tube ceramic coated after fit. Flowmaster 2 chamber mufflers. Custom built Chevy 400 turbo trans.ATI 8 inch torque converter w/4500 stall. Shifts in full auto or manual. Polished billet aluminum valve covers and breathers. Engine setback 11 inches in chassis.
Custom frame 2"x3" box. Powder coated 9 inch Ford rear end. Moser 31 spline axles. Detroit Locker. Richmond 4:56 gears. Chris Alston 4 link rear suspension with adjustable coil over shocks. Front suspension is Mustang 2 control arms powdercoated. Polished aluminum manual rack and pinion steering. HAL coil over shocks. Wilwood brakes on all four wheels. Color matched brake covers mounted behind wheels hide brakes and can be easily removed to show the brakes if you choose.15x3 inchBogart front wheels w/MT 26x7.5x15 tires.14x15 inch rear Bogart wheels w/MT 31x18.5x15 tires. Drives very well and accelerates strait.
PPG base coat clearcoat Purple Pearl from 1996 Ford Mustang factory code. Pearl ghost flames are subtle and excellent. Front fender seams welded shut. quarter panels welded and smoothed.Stock trunk lid. Stock roof lines not chopped. Narrowed 1967 Camaro rear bumper. Firewall and dash setback 11 inches. Hand built floor. Trunk mounted gas tank, battery and fire extinguisher. B&M Pro Ratchet shifter. 2-tone purple twead interior. Flamed to match exterior. Custom built Dodge Neon seats. Twead covers floors front and rear over tubs. Trunk interior cover in twead also. Autometer Gauges.
