VW powered DKW Schnellaster Van Project. This Van is a running and driving project that can go many directions. Rat Rod, restore the body and paint or go whole hog and return it to stock. It currently has a custom built chassis utilizing components from a 1970 VW Beetle, an IRS transmission, a 1200 cc engine that I believe has a big bore kit, and a ball joint front beam. All new brake parts, new wiring, new carb, new fuel tank. It needs a few things such as wiper system, parking brake system, headlights and the shifter to be indexed to make getting into reverse easier. This is a custom vehicle and the buyer will need to have or have access to the skills necessary to complete a custom built vehicle. There are very few of these in the U.S., possibly less than 10. And I know of only 2 others with VW power and they are both in the U.K. It is currently registered in Washington state and I've taken it to several VW shows where it always draws attention.
