MotoeXotica Classic Cars has the answer with this 1937 Ford Woody Street Rod. Using the original 1937 Ford Sedan body and frame as its foundation, this project turned out a fantastic custom street rod and now is the chance for it to be yours!

This stunning custom woody street rod features hand-crafted, rear-hinged coach doors, rear liftgate and bodysides. The doors are three or four inches thick. Atop the vertical panels is a custom-covered roof and exquisite rafter-style headliner. The metal portions of the vehicle, fenders, running boards, instrument panel, are all finished in an electric lime that is hard to miss. The entire project took more than two years to complete and represents a more than $200,000 investment.

The glass panes, including the split windshield, are in overall great condition, as are the street rod’s lights, including its reverse teardrop headlamps. Its bodywork is solid, the engine bay is tidy and the chrome bumpers fit well to the body. The cargo area looks as good as the rest of the vehicle and houses the battery and a Morey boogie board. This street rod rolls on wide whitewall tires with factory “smoothie” wheel covers.

Under the hood is a GM 350 CID V-8 with many chromed parts and breathing through dual exhausts. It is backed by a four-speed automatic transmission and a Ford eight-inch rear end geared for highway cruising. Driver convenience features include rack-and-pinion steering, front disc brakes and vintage air-conditioning but air currently does not blow cold and the wipers are inoperable.

Inside, this Woody has a handsome custom Ultraleather interior finished in gray and black. The front buckets and second row bench seat are in great condition, as is the matting on the floor. There’s a three-spoke aftermarket steering wheel facing the driver that is in great condition. The electric lime instrument panel contains a full complement of Auto Meter gauges and is in excellent order. The inner door panels are in very good condition. The center console looks great, as does the chrome gearshift lever. Completing the interior is a Pioneer AM/FM stereo with CD player encased in a wooden center stack that houses the ignition switch and other controls.

Ford fans, collectors of pre-World War II era vehicles and anyone who appreciates a well-crafted custom build should stop by MotoeXotica Classic Cars today and examine this one in person. She is a head-turner and a conversation starter, so be prepared for attention every time you stop.
