Available for sale is a 1972 JEEP CJ5, that has undergone a complete frame-off restoration. A thorough frame, mechanical, electrical, upholstery, body, hardware and structural restoration has been performed over the course of a few years. A great opportunity to buy an collection grade restored JEEP. With only 65 miles, it’s a brand new truck only with road tested, break in miles. If you have been considering commissioning a Jeep restoration, this will save you at least a year, and excess of $50K in restoration costs including project car. This was a no expense spared full restoration with originality in mind, with a few modern performance upgrades. This iconic Jeep was rebuilt to last another 50 years. The restoration began with a solid rust free California 72 CJ5, with original steel body (original data tag intact), and its original power-train equipment; 304 V8, 3 speed manual, Dana 20 transfer case. The original rust free steel body was separated from the chassis, disassembled to bare metal, sand blasted and painted yellow. Everything else on the truck besides the yellow surface paint is powder coated or rhino lined. Meaning all the black surfaces on this Jeep are durable powder coated,weatherproof undercoated, or rhino lined (no black paint). It was built with adventure and usability in mind, ready to take wear and tear of the great outdoors. The chassis were grinded down, primered and powder coated. The engine, transfer case, transmission, steering gear box, differentials are all freshly rebuilt. From there everything has been replaced with better new parts. The original 304 engine has been hot rodded to perform. The internals (pistons, valves, cam) are all modern and new. The intake is Edelbrock aluminum, The 650cfm 4 barrel carburetor is Holly Truck Avenger. Lots of chrome accessories, polished headers, new radiator & cooling system, and Petronix electronic ignition. The truck has a stainless exhaust with Flowmaster mufflers. Featuring custom fitted rock climber front & back bumpers with light load hitch. This Jeep has two fuel tanks; 15gal rear and 10gal under-seat tank. Steel fuel lines throughout and manual tank valve for on-the-go fuel tank switching. A set of side ram/step bars have been fabricated (powder coated) for this Jeep to provide extra side impact protection. The Jeep wears a new set of American Racing 15x8 steel wheels with a fresh set of 30” BFGoodrich All-Terrain tires. The brake system has been upgraded with a complete Steel Brake System kit, with disk all around, large rotors in front, new larger master cylinder, and steel lines through out. The new suspension consists of serviced leaf springs, polyurethane sleeves, bushings, and body mounts. Shocks has been upgraded to a complete adjustable Rancho RS9000 kit with 5 levels of adjustment. The entire car’s electrical system has been replaced with a new complete Painless Wiring harness with fuse box. All wiring, plugs, sockets, and bulbs on the car are brand new. LED brake lights and PIAA fog lights. The interior dash (powder coated) has been fitted with every gauge you will ever need. A custom white theme spans from the original gauge cluster across to the Autometer Phantom gauge set; 9 total. A dual USB charger has been added with digital meter for battery voltage status. The entire interior surface of the truck (cabin, engine bay) has been rhino lined, for durability and easy cleaning. All hardware (bolts, screws, nuts) on the entire truck has been replaced with either chrome or stainless steel new hardware. The rhino lined interior, brand new Besttop weatherproof seats, make for easy cleaning after adventuring. The diamond plates have been added for future protection to the vulnerable rear corners.

Wherever you look on this Jeep, everything has either been replaced, recoated, or improved with durability and longevity in mind.

This brand new just finished Jeep has currently only 65 brake-in miles. It drives like a beast with a lots of low end torque, tight but maneuverable suspension, excellent turning radius, squick-free and comfortable drive you would expect from a brand new truck. The Jeep’s drivability is excellent with accurate steering, no lane drift, no brake/steering pull, no wobble or shakes at high speeds on the highway.

The show and quality finish of this truck is probably inexcess, given the roughterrainit is capable of enduring. This classic Jeep is better built now then it was in 1972, and will easily last another 50 years.
