1911 Other Makes 33 Description

1911 Hudson Model 33
Up for Sale is this rare, and extraordinary Hudson touring car. This antique is in partial original condition. I believe the body paint is original, as I have seen another early Hudson of the same shade of blue. Part of the upholstery is original, and the engine is untouched. At some point somebody repainted the chassis, but did not do a bad job on it. The remainder of the upholstery was recovered in an incorrect color and type of material. What makes this find so extraordinary is that this car runs extremely well. No matter if it is a cold day or warm day, pull the choke and crank the engine over (YES it is a hand crank start ONLY antique automobile) it has always fired right up and idles perfect. It is easy to crank unlike others that I have cranked.

The maintenance I have performed on the auto; rewired engine bay, fluids changed, plugs cleaned, carb cleaned and adjusted, radiator recored by BrassWorks, NoRosion flushed and installed in coolant system, new hoses. The car starts, drives and shifts very nicely, especially for 105 Years Young!!!What you see is what you get in the pictures, this auto is very complete, but their are a few things missing. Top is missing, although this is a big piece, they are fairly simple and can be created. Running boards are not correct, but they are being reproduced and available. I believe that is the two major missing components, like I said, very complete. Only other negative is the front end needs rebuilt before it can be driven above 20 mph. The king pins are worn out and has excessive play, making the steering dangerous above that speed. Otherwise this is a fast car, it pulls up to speed fast and want to run. I am not sure what the gear ratios are in this car, but they appear to be great for tours.Allofthe the brass lights are there and in excellent shape, headlamps, side lamps, tail lamp, horn. NO dents, scratches, broken lenses. acetylene bottle intact. tool box intact. Idon'tthink the belly pan is correct, but it is there. This car does not have a fan at the front of the engine (that is one way to identify it as a 1911) the fan is located on the flywheel, that is why their is no louvres in the hood sides, air is pulled through the radiator and out and under. Since the radiator was recored, it runs at a perfect temperature consistently. Any questions please do not hesitate to ask, I will sell outside of the USA, but require payment in full before it will leave my sight. Reserve is set at a fair price for this gem. early cars do not come along often.I will assist in shipping arrangements and can even suggest a carrier in the continental US
