Sitting in a private collection, in a climate controlled garage is this 1957 DeSoto custom street rod. It was built on a DeSoto chasis with a DeSoto Firedome V-8 Hemi engine and a automatic pushbutton transmisson. The body is custom and all panel work is striaght and free of dents and rust. The paint, chrome, and interior are in very nice condition. The car was running and driving when added to the collection several years ago, and not driven since. The car was just put on the lift checked over and started rightup. The gauges work, trans shifts, brakes work, tires are like new. Undercarriage is very clean with no rust.Overall it is in very good condition, and with a little TLC could be roadworthy again. Who built it and when is not known.
