Manufactured in various models by BMW between 1959 and 1965 the 700 car is a small rear engine vehicle designed by Giovanni Michelotti based on a lengthened BMW 600 chassis. The cabriolet model was introduced after the 700 sport, and only offered with the most desirable 40 hp 2 carburetor boxer engine. Only 2592 were built. This project was garage stored for many years. It is a very solid car with limited rust, (see photos). Engine is in very good condition, turns over. Transmission appears in good condition. Disassembled, this car comes with original gauges, hub caps and trim rings, spare tire, original wheels-matching, license plate light, original air cleaner, NEW headlights, taillights, headlight rings. NEW front and rear stainless bumpers. Original trunk liner. New suspension stops, New steering rack boots.Original door panels, windshield washer tank pump, door trim, rear view mirrors,. Engine seals and gaskets. New windshield rubber, Reconditioned muffler (coated), visors, side light lenses, ashtray, most aluminum trim pieces. Axles restored. Exterior door handles intact and working. Windshield has stone chip on passenger side, no cracks. Side window glass intact. Convertible top frame is in place. Brochures included.
