Description Up for auction is this RARE 1958 Messerschmitt KR200 Panambi. This KR200 is one of the few that was assembled in Argentina at the Panambi factory. According to history, a Mr. Jorge Martinelli fell in love with a Messerschmitt KR200 that passed in front of him while resting in Montevideo, so he flew to a war-devastated Germany to met with Fristz Fend, the father of the Messerschmitts. They struck a deal to import and assemble KR200's in Argentina, and Martinelli decided to call his assembly plant "Panambi", which means butterfly in the native language of Guarani. When Mr. Fritz went to Argentina to inaugurate the plant he was impressed and stayed for a week to supervise quality control. According to the Microcar Club of Switzerland there are only around 20 KR200 Panambi that survived. This KR200 was restored in Argentina and later sold to a gentleman in Paraguay, its current owner, who keeps it in a crystal display as you can see it in pictures. The KR200 runs smoothly and shift through all gears. Bubble top is in excellent condition as is the interior and all the instruments. The seats look like new. The odometer reads 600 kilometers but that seems to be inaccurate. During our inspection we tried to document graphically all imperfections of the car as you can see in the images. As noted above, the vehicle is located in Asunción, Paraguay. We can assist with shipping overseas at buyer´s expense. This KR200 comes with a beautiful and complete picnic basket and set Videos
