Remember the times when East was East and West was West, and Leonid Breshnew ruled the East Block? Here is a rare find, a pristine Moskvitch pickup of the last years of the Soviet Union. Rolled out of the factory in 1990, and was exported to Estonia, where it was in light use until 2000, and then stored away. This unique survivor has practically no rust, the body is straight, collision free and shows hardly any dings or scratches. Doors align well, as well as the hood, all original sheet metal, except for front fender rear bottom sections and driver´s side rocker panel.
The truck was completely restored, sprayed with a new coat of original cream color paint. Engine head job was done, and vehicle was extensively serviced. Driveline has new brake parts, including new rear drums. New exhaust pipe and mufflers. Runs and drives well. Spare parts are still readily available, not to mention that the simplicity of the construction makes it easy to maintain this rugged beast. Four speed manual stick shift, rugged 1.5 liter engine. Odometer shows 64,000 kms, equal to 40,000 miles.
The truck is equipped with new 0 mile radial tires, made in the USSR. Original car jack and hand crank are included. Hood topped off with a hammer & sickle decal.
