1989 Mercedes-Benz 300CE CE Description

This is such a fun car! I almost absently picked it up in an auction, not knowing the full condition of the car. The car had been garaged stored (very properly I might add) since the summer of 2012 and had not been started or ran in that time. After I completed the first list of items, the car started right up! It was almost unbelievable how quickly it turned over and sprang to life, and has been driving great ever since. Smooth on the roads and fun to drive. It’s been our fun ‘going into town’ car for the last month.
Things I have completed so far:
-Drained and replaced engine oil
-Drained and replaced transmission oil
-Drained and flushed fuel lines
-New fuel pumps installed
-New fuel added with fuel stabilizer
-New battery
-New Tie rods
Things I will get to unless it sells:
-Second oil change after its run a little more
-Speakers- radio works but seems 3/4 speakers are shot
-New air filter
-Rear window
The exterior is in incredible shape, a few scrapes but absolutely no rust. It looks like something heavy was dropped on the back windshield, but luckily no metal was damaged only the glass. Not leaking and no water damage. The interior is actually not too bad for 31 years of wear, only a couple slight rips in the leather and very minimal sun damage. If I get a warm day I’m going to deep shampoo vac the carpets and try to get the few stains there are.
